We have been slowly chipping away at renovating our dining room space this Winter. So far we’ve removed a bunch of excess trim and cheap panel board from two walls. Eventually we will redo the flooring and replace the rest of the panel board with drywall, but for now we are calling it good enough for Country and tying it all together a new rug from Revival.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new rug to replace a very tattered old rug that lives underneath our dinner table. My goal was to find something timeless and sustainably, with an affordable price tag. After much internet hunting, I found myself most drawn to the Hart Jute rug by Revival, woven with unbleached, natural fibers. I’ve switched rugs around and tried various styles and colors in the dining room, but found the natural, minimalist style of the jute rug to be my favorite fit. The neutral tones warm up the white walls and dark wood floors, and compliment our neutral toned art. Did I mention that it hides dirt and crumbs really well and is also easy to clean too? It’s a very important feature in a house full of muddy work boots. When the time comes to replace other rugs around the house, I’m definitely going to consider a few more of these.
